Implementation period: | October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2021 |
Project manager and contact person: | Sandra Perica Cvjetko, Head of Research and Development Department |
The project consists of the following elements of investment:
- Industrial research for the development of the NERO robotic system;
- Experimental development of the NERO robotic system;
- Advertising and visibility;
- Project management and administration;
Objectives and expected results of the project:
The purpose of the project is to develop an innovative robotic system NERO for performing neurosurgical procedures.
The general goal of the project is to contribute to the increase of innovative competitiveness of Croatian robotics and the development of medical technology on a global level.
Successful implementation of the project will enable the achievement of the following results:
- R1 Demonstrated technological concept in a laboratory environment
- R2 Prototype robotic system NERO ready for commercial application
- R3 The results of research and development were disseminated and presented to the business, scientific and wider interested public
The project directly contributes to the development of assistive technologies and processes in robotics and information and communication technologies through process and embedded computer automation and control processes of the NERO robotic system. Consequently, with the development of ICT technologies, the project will have a multi-sectoral impact on the national economy and on the thematic priority area Health and quality of life.
The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
